Prof ("the App") is developed and operated by PLEASEPROF PRIVATE LIMITED, a company registered in Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use Prof's real-time transcription and AI features. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Audio and Voice Data

• Microphone input when you speak or use voice-driven features.

• Audio from the sound playing on your device.

We do not access video, screen content, or files.

We do not upload raw audio. Only transcribed text is uploaded for processing.

2.2 Transcription and AI Interaction Data

• Transcribed text

• AI summaries and insights

• AI conversation logs

• Session records and metadata

  2.3 Account Information

  When using Apple or Google login:

• Name

• Email

• Profile image (if granted permission)

  2.4 Technical Data

  Collected through Firebase, Langfuse, and related services:

• Device information

• OS version

• Usage logs

• Crash logs

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide real-time transcription

• Generate AI summaries and responses

• Maintain your session history

• Improve stability and diagnose issues

• Ensure account security

• Provide support and monitor app performance

  We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on AWS Singapore and retained until you delete it.

5. Third-Party Services

We use:

• OpenAI API（AI responses）

• Azure API（transcription processing）

• Firebase（authentication, analytics, storage）

• Langfuse（logging and debugging）

• Pinecone（vector storage and retrieval）

These services follow their own privacy policies and operate as processors on our behalf.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data.

Data may be shared only with the third-party processors listed above or if required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may:

• Delete your transcription records from within the App

• Request account and data deletion by emailing prof_dev@pleaseprof.app

Data download/export is not available yet.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 13.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Data Retention

Transcription text, summaries, and AI interactions are retained until you delete them or request deletion.

10. Security

We protect data using:

• Encrypted communication (HTTPS)

• AWS security measures

• Authentication controls

• Strict access limitations

No system is completely secure; you use the App at your discretion.

11. Changes to This Policy

Updates will be posted within the App and on our website. Continued use after updates means acceptance.
